PRIDE

Pride is a sin.
Today’s “pride movement” celebrates sexual sin with more sin.

Are we to be proud of our sins? I know I’m not.

Pride is Satan’s primary sin; Satan was so filled with pride he wanted to take over the Almighty’s throne, and that is why he was cast out of heaven. Pride is what Satan used to convince Eve to sin (that she would be as knowledgeable as God.)

Some people have a biological propensity that lends them to the sin of homosexuality, just as some people have a biological propensity for the sin of alcoholism or drug addiction; none of that is insurmountable. NO ONE is born with an insurmountable propensity to act in a way the Almighty deems an abomination.

How we gratify ourselves sexually is a choice of action, just as other sins are.

1 Corinthians 10:13 God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

When the woman caught in the act of adultery was about to be stoned, the Messiah didn’t tell her to “go on her merry way and continue in her sin.” He told her “go, and sin no more.” (John 8:11)

We must repent (turn away from) our sins.

Leviticus 18:22 – Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Leviticus 20:13 – If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Romans 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

1 Corinthians 6:9 – Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, <shall inherit the kingdom of heaven>

Jude 1:7 – Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

If we die in our sins, let alone prideful of our sins, it’s too late. Ask the rich man who went to hell. (Luke 16:19-31)

This is not judgement, it is simply His Word. I wouldn’t share it if I didn’t care about you. Me not celebrating publicly professed sin doesn’t make me judgmental. We are to be discerning, as well as to know people by their fruits.

The most misused verse in scripture is that of Matthew 7 – “do not judge.” If you read the context you will find it really doesn’t say that. It says to first address your own sin (plank in your eye) so that you will be able to help others turn from their sin (speck in their eye.)
Have you ever had a speck in your eye? Isn’t it wonderful when someone can help you get that out?

We will ALL be judged by the Almighty. Only repentance from sin, and accepting Yahushua’s free gift of salvation will save any of us. The way remains narrow, and sadly, few will find it.

Romans 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Hebrews 10:26 – For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

We don’t have valid authority to change what His breathed Word states, simply because we don’t want to acknowledge what it, as it condemns us of our sins. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Timothy 3:16)

Galatians 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
